Connor Harpur

Connor is an HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with postgraduate and undergraduate qualifications in occupational therapy. His work focuses on how health conditions, injury or disability affect everyday function, independence, roles, routines, safety, participation and sustainable return to work.

His occupational therapy perspective brings together the person, the activity and the environment. Assessment and reporting may consider personal and domestic activities, cognition, fatigue, executive function, equipment, housing, adaptations, community participation, vocational function and the rehabilitation or support required.

Expert-witness work

Expert-witness occupational therapy is ProActive Therapy’s primary commercial service. Connor provides independent opinion within his expertise and understands that the expert’s overriding duty is to the court. Instructions are accepted after written checks covering competence, conflicts of interest, capacity, timetable, terms and secure records transfer.

Clinical occupational therapy

Clinical and rehabilitation services remain available as a separate pathway. They are goal-led, evidence-informed and focused on useful change in daily life. A treating role is kept distinct from an expert role, and the accepted purpose, reporting line, consent and boundaries are confirmed in writing.

How ProActive Therapy works

  • Independent and evidence-led: conclusions are linked to the available evidence and limits are stated.
  • Practical: recommendations are designed to work in real environments and daily routines.
  • Proportionate: the method, evidence requested and recommendations reflect the question being answered.
  • Clear: scope, communication, fees, timing, assumptions and next steps are agreed in writing.
  • Accountable: work is accepted within professional competence and controlled governance arrangements.
